The staff were excellent and very helpful. Helped us booked our bus and train tickets. Ordered us taxis and helped sorted out the cost too. The rooms were brilliant and the kids loved the facilities. Breakfast was okay. The view was fantastic 🤩. Free hot and cold drinks at the leisure centre. Free robes and footwear to use in the swimming pool area. Great relaxing area in the swimming pool area.

The hotel is located in a very beautiful place. It has very polite and friendly staff. Nice pool, but the sauna was turned off and I did not have a chance to use it as I was staying only for a night. 1 night is not enough to enjoy the hotel and all its infrastructure. 2-3 nights would be perfect.

The hotel is located in the forest and by the lake. It is a beautiful environment and it is quiet. The hotel itself is well maintained. It's very clean. The beds were lovely. There is an automatic coffee maker for grinded coffee, which is great.

It was clean, had character and was refurbished to a good taste which fitted in with its historic interior. They are very dog friendly. I could bring dog into the restaurant and to the breakfast area. The location overlooking the lake and being next to a river.

1st visit 1982 and internally no change since then and the hotel overall looking a bit tired especially the bathrooms and needs some serious room upgrading and general TLC .However presentation ,service and restaurant food standard still quite excellent and our waiter was friendly and helpful .The quiet location beside the lake is lovely for walks and very relaxing and the spa , unchanged since the 70s , is still great with large pool and most enjoyable to spend time in .

Unfortunately we were relocated to another hotel due to room renovations. The other hotel was decent but not as good as the original. Courtesy dinner was acceptable.

I was travelling with my dog, so I really appreciated the fact that they made my dog very welcome, and the location is great for walking. It was really nice to have dinner in the restaurant with my dog beside me.
